Total Gym Elite, Pro Plus & Ultra

Do These Models Still Exist And Which Ones Are The Best?

You might have been searching for the Total Gym Elite or other models of this popular home exercise unit and wondered if they are available for purchase. There are about a dozen different models offered, and depending on when you are doing your search, they may or may not still be available.

Some of the models are sold directly from the company, Total Gym Fitness, LLC, while others are available through retailers such as Amazon and Target. Some models are exclusive to home shopping networks such as QVC, such as the Elite and the Total Pro Plus, among others.

What happens is the company introduces new models from time to time, and phases out some of the older ones. You might be looking for a particular model that you read about or heard about but it may no longer be offered for one reason or another.

As of the writing of this review, the Total Gym Elite, Pro Plus, Ultra and EX were no longer available, replaced with new, upgraded models that can be found here.

What's replaced the Total Gym Ultra & Other Older Models?

There are still a number of models to choose from, it's just a matter of selecting the one that works for you.

On the lower end, you have the 1700 Club model that can be found at Target, Walmart and other discount retailers. It lists for around $300 - $400, and will offer a decent workout.

If you're unsure, your best bet is to go directly to the manufacturer and choose one of the three excellent choices that they have to offer. You have your choice of the 2000, the 3000 or the upper end XLS model which offers all of the bells and whistles, along with a wide range of exercises.

Fitness Events Opinion & Recommendation:

Since the Total Gym Elite and other models are no longer available, and you do want to go with one of these machines, we recommend that you skip the base unit and go with one of the higher end models.

Why? Because a home gym is something you have for many years, so you want something that is high quality and that offers you a full body workout. The better models such as the XLS can accommodate higher weight, and feature sturdier construction and a number of extra features.

You can get some great discount prices on Total Gym by buying direct from the manufacturer, as well as free 30 day trial offers so you can try the equipment and see if you like it.

If you're looking for a substitute for the Total Gym Pro Plus, Ultra, EX or other models that ar no longer available, you can't go wrong with the 200, 300, or XLS.
